Fortitude Construction is well-known as an experienced and professional Wellington-based construction firm. We provide clients with bespoke solutions for construction, renovation, commercial fit outs and major projects.

Our clients expect us to plan all their projects from start to finish. They want to be aware of what potential pitfalls could arise. What the timeframes are and how our supply chains fit into their timeframes.
Our clients expect us to construct what the plan stipulates. We need to be excellent on the tools and we need to partner with sub-contractors who are equally dedicated to providing excellent outcomes for our clients.
Our clients expect us to manage projects from the very beginning to the end and slightly beyond. Handing over a job doesn't necessarily end our obligations and it's good to know that Fortitude will be available even after the last coat of paint has dried.
Delivering beautiful work is what excites us the most. We love our craft and we love how our ability to create beautiful spaces and ultimately delight our clients by combining our clients' inspiration with our tools and skills.

We help our staff to plan a path of growth in the trade as well as for their personal lives and careers. Envisioning a tangible future for themselves and their whanau is intrinsic to the ethos of Fortitude Construction.
We help and mentor our staff to build a progression path for themselves as independent contractors mentoring them in the craft of construction but also how to run a business responsibly, how to build a viable commercial capability and how to delight clients.
We know we have a successful business when our staff demonstrate how they care about our clients' aspirations while taking care of their own needs. We encourage and pay attention to physical health, spiritual health, family health and mental health.

HOSPO FIT OUTS

Portfolio

Demolished and reframed toilets to make them gender neutral and private. A cozy, safe space for a restaurant's customers including appropriate spacing for wheelchair access and baby changing facilities.

Complete re-roofing including the reframing of a shared boundary wall as well as rebuilding an internal gutter.

Refurbishment of a fish & chip shop into a hip and modern burger joint. This job included carpentry work for furniture and banquette.

Slatted walls crafted using jigs and precision-milled timber. Wall supported by blocking set back as a negative detail and fixed with hidden fasteners using cross-cut plugs.

Finish carpentry using specialist tools to create dado rails and wainscoting trim.

Project management of electricians, builders, plumbers, waterproofers and tilers focused on creating a sumptuous space of relaxation and serenity for our clients.

We transformed this space into a high-end beauty salon with a warm, calming aesthetic. Custom joinery, slat panels and curved forms, soft ambient lighting, and a tiled floor finish throughout. We built bespoke nail and pedicure stations, created functional treatment areas, and ensured the space felt luxurious while remaining practical for daily operations.
